If you haven’t let your kids watch Yo Gabba Gabba on Nick Jr., they are totally missing out. I grew up on Sesame Street and loved Bert and Ernie, Oscar, Grover, the Count, Big Bird and Kermit the Frog. But those days are over…Now it’s Baby Bear with a speech impediment, Elmo who many dad’s, including myself, find to be extremely annoying. Where Sesame Street has gone awry, Yo Gabba Gabba has gone right.
The host of the show is DJ Lance Rock. He’s somewhere in between Pee Wee Herman and Bill Cosby, who carries a magic boom box filled with main characters Brobee, Toodee, Plex, Muno and Foofa

The show is loaded with super cool art direction and crazy colors. Each episode focuses on a lesson like sharing, eating good food, being nice to your friends etc.
In almost every episode we have an appearance by music veterans Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo, who teaches kids how to draw and Biz Markie who teaches kids his “beat of the day”.
Special guests such as Jack Black, Elijah Wood and MGMT have also joined the show.
It’s very creative and full of songs, fun and learning. My wife and I are actually taking our 3 year old and one and a half year old to see a live taping of the show in November.
Yo Gabba Gabba rocks…Check it out!
